Annual River Night Featuring Music Groups, Free Family Events and More

Ready for River Night?

This year’s event takes place on Friday, June 21 from 5 p.m. until midnight at the Riverfront Bicentennial Park, 131 E. Hydraulic Street.

Festivities for the event begin at 5 p.m. and music will be played until midnight. Admission is free to the event.

There will be four bands and artists performing at River Night, including The Giving Tree Band, The Heavy Guilt, Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank and  Brent brown. More entertainment will be available at Saturday night's Summer Solstice Festival.

Free family events include:

• Bounce House, Obstacle Course & 2-Lane Slide courtesy of Bouncetown (5-9:30pm)
• Kids Crafts by Jeanne & Meghan De La Fuente, and Fox River Academy of Music & Art
• Dance Demo by Gold Star Academy of Dance (5-5:30pm) CANCELLED
  
• Performance by (Spirit Cheer 5:30-6pm)
• Act from "The Frog Prince" by Rivers Edge Theatre (6-6:30pm - followed by 8pm show at the theater)
• YHS Robotics Club Demonstrations (5-8pm)
• Merry Hearts Clowns Balloons, face painting
• Fox Country Players "Zombie" face painting, Zombie obstacle course, MONSTERAMA Bowlarama, Flying Saucer Toss (5-9:30pm)
• Scavenger Hunt by Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois

This year for the first time the event will also feature a River Night Market, open from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
