Traveling around Yorkville and running into construction?

Here's a list of road updates from around Yorkville provided by the United City of Yorkville

River Road Bridge
The curbs and paved ditch have been poured.  Construction of the retaining wall near King Street has begun.  Bituminous paving is being scheduled and should be completed in the next week or so.

Route 47 and Cannonball intersection improvements 
Storm Sewer installation is expected to begin on July 8th which should take approximately 2 weeks. Lane closers and detours are expected during this time. Geneva construction will be supplying us with a detailed schedule for the rest of the work soon.

Route 47 Parking Lot – The contract was awarded at the June 25th City Council meeting and we are anticipating work to begin mid July.

2013 Roads to Better Roads
EEI is progressing with final design.

Bristol Avenue Watermain
This project is currently out to bid. Bids are due July 9.

Kennedy Road Shared Use Path (ITEP) 
Phase I engineering is ongoing, with an anticipated completion date of fall/winter 2013.

Game Farm Road/ Somonauk Street Improvements
Offer letters for right-of-way and easements have been sent per Jay Heap and Associates.
