Girls and dads throughout Yorkville are invited to the annual Daddy Daughter Dance sponsored by the Yorkville Grade School PTO. The 2013 dance will be at Yorkville Middle School on Saturday, March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. This year’s theme is “A Night in Candy Land.” Cost is just $15 per couple and $2 for each additional daughter. “All Yorkville dads and daughters are invited, including those from District 115 schools, home schools, private schools and even preschools,” said Crystal Cavey, president of the YGS PTO. “For years, dads and daughters, citywide, have made special memories at this Daddy Daughter Dance and we want that tradition to continue.” Back by popular demand, VIP tickets will be available in limited quantities. This year's theme is "A Night in CandyLand."
Organizers of the annual Daddy Daughter Dance are reminding Yorkville to save the date of March 9, a night when fathers and daughters will tear up the dance floor at Yorkville Middle School. Ticket sales have not yet been announced, but organizers said tickets will be $15 per couple with $2 for each additional daughter. According to the Daddy Daughter Dance Facebook page, there will be a limited number of VIP tickets available again this year. Tickets will be available at Yorkville elementary-level schools in early 2013. The dance is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

The annual dance was held Saturday at Yorkville Middle School.
More than 800 people attended the annual Daddy Daughter Dance fundraiser for Yorkville Grade School, organizer Doris Bateman said. It seems that people who require the VIP treatment, are the same people (maybe), who also require fancier schools, and a lot of Park District programs, and other such things that require taxpayer subsidization. At least in this case, these people are having to reach into their own pockets to pay for the extras.   more ›
