Students Invited to Screen Anti-Bullying Documentary
Kind Campaign aims to teach students to choose kindness over bullying.
Students from area schools, including Yorkville High School and Yorkville Middle School, are invited to attend a Nov. 11 screening of “Finding Kind,” an anti-bullying documentary. The event, hosted by Centennial Counseling Center, is in conjunction with the Kind Campaign. The campaign, which uses “Finding Kind” as a resource tool, is founded on the principle that kindness “brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl ‘crime.’” The documentary was created in 2009 by two Pepperdine University students who were the victims of female bullying.
