The following release was issued by the Kendall County Sherif's Office: The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office announced the results of the St. Patrick’s Day Holiday Campaign that was held between March 12 and March 20. During this time Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Deputies issued 59 citations. The law enforcement crackdown is funded by federal traffic safety funds through IDOT’s Division of Traffic Safety.

The following was provided by the Kendall County Sheriff's Office: Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for Americans between the ages of 5 through 24. In Illinois 1,363 persons were killed in 1,233 fatal crashed in 2005. In 2005 there were 121,670 persons injured in crashes. The cost per death in 2005 was $1,150,000 and the cost per nonfatal disabling injury was $60,500. Many lives will be saved by changing public attitudes regarding the non-use of safety belts and child safety seats. It has been shown that visible enforcement programs focusing on these violations offer the greatest potential for changing these behaviors That is why The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office announced they will be joining hundreds of other law …

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies wrote 76 tickets between June 22 and July 4. Here's how they broke down.
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies handed out 76 tickets during a 13-day period of stepped-up enforcement around the July 4 holiday. The campaign ran from June 22 to July 4. It resulted in a pair of drunken driving charges, and 62 citations for not wearing a seatbelt, among other charges. Kendall County joined hundreds of law enforcement agencies across the state in stepping up enforcement around St. Patrick's Day.
The Kendall County Sheriff’s Department has announced the results of the recent St. Patrick’s Day traffic enforcement campaign. Overall, sheriff’s deputies wrote 49 tickets, for offenses ranging from drunken driving (2) to seatbelt violations (31). The full list is below. Kendall County joined hundreds of law enforcement agencies throughout the state in adding extra patrols around St. Patrick’s Day. The stepped-up enforcement, which ran from March 12 to March 20, was funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Division of Traffic Safety, police said.
