Darnells 'Overwhelmed' by Support

Two-year-old Hunter Darnell got a day-pass from his medical treatment facility to attend a fundraiser in his family’s honor Saturday at the Kendall County Fairgrounds. The little blonde boy is just days (or weeks) from being able to go home for outpatient therapy. Hunter Darnell, who was born with a severely underdeveloped ventricle in his heart, suffered a complication this summer during surgery that caused his brain to lose oxygen for a time period, his father, Shane Darnell, said.
