Former Plainfield Enterprise Publisher Dead at Age 74

Merwyn "Babe" Miller was also a guidance counselor at Plainfield High School, according to his obituary.

Merwyn "Babe" Miller, the one-time co-owner and publisher of the Plainfield Enterprise, died Saturday at age 74. For many years, he also worked as a guidance counselor at Plainfield High School, according to an obituary published in the Joliet Herald News. Miller, of Yorkville, was born on Feb. 15, 1937, to Clare and Maude (Scott) Miller. He wed Kathryn E. Abrams on June 7, 1958 at the Yorkville Methodist Church; they were married for 45 years until her death in 2003. Miller, who graduated from Yorkville High School in 1955, was a very active member of the Yorkville community.
