New Superman Man of Steel Trailer: Spy Any Kendall County Spots?

Closely watch these clips from the new Superman movie shot around Kendall County in 2011 and look for some local filming locations.

A release date of next summer may be months away, but producers of the Superman Man of Steel film shot around Kendall County in the summer of 2011 have released another trailer hyping the film. In this 2:33 minute clip you may see a couple local spots used for the filming and nearly all of the star-studded cast who were also seen in the area, including Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams.  Click here to view on your mobile device.  According to film site IMDb.com, the estimated budget for the movie is $225 million. Plano Businesses Holding Up Against Superman (Filming)

Blocked off streets makes navigating the downtown a little more difficult.

Fax machine beep. Telephone chirp. Chopping sounds of flying helicopters. Objects exploding. These sounds have become commonplace for the businesses on Plano's Main Street that are staying open during the filming of the Superman reboot Man of Steel. Production activity seemed to intensify this week, as portions of Main Street were blocked by black screens. The Beacon-News cited "reports" in an article posted Monday about the prop 7-Eleven at Main and Center streets being blown up.
