Yorkville Man Charged with Posession of Alcohol While in Kendall County Jail
Liquid was discovered during a surprise inspection of jail cells in November.
A 24-year old Yorkville man was charged with illegal possession of alcohol while serving time in the Kendall County Jail in November. According to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office press release Thomas Binion of the 9300 block of Route 34 was discovered to have a bottle of what appeared to be homemade alcohol in his cell when deputies performed surprise inspections of the jail. The liquid was sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for processing, where it was confirmed to be alcohol. Possession of alcohol by an inmate is a Class 4 felony. Binion has been charged with possession and is currently in custody. His bond was set at $5,000. In July Binion was charged with two felony counts of violation of the Illinois Sex Offender …
