Hair On Chopping Block for St. Baldrick's Fundraiser
Event set for March 16 at Rosati's Pizza.
Shears are being sharpened in anticipation of lopping off locks to raise money for childhood cancer research through the St. Baldrick's Foundation. On March 16 heads will be shorn beginning at 4 p.m. at Rosati's Pizza, 1985 Marketview Drive. Volunteers will put their hair on line as organizers are hoping to raise $5,000 in Yorkville. Last year more than $10,000 was raised during the St. Baldrick's event in Yorkville, organizer Chris Cherwin said in an email. "Our event last year was spectacularly successful, we raised over $10,000, and had amazing support from the community.
