Arranmore Center for the Arts on the Drawing Board

A local woman is gathering the community in a bid to enhance cultural opportunities in Kendall County through a major arts center.

Creating a community within a community is what it's all about for Shannon Greene Robb. Greene Robb is the founder and chairwoman of the Arranmore Center for the Arts, a development proposed for 25 acres of land near Rance and Stewart roads in Oswego. She has been working on the Arranmore plan for more than four years. It started when her father, local Realtor and Arranmore Farms owner John Greene, suggested the farm might be a fun spot for a music camp. "My head went full blown to what Arranmore is today," said Greene Robb, who has played piano since she was 6.
