Man Charged in Crash that Killed Woman, Injured Plainfield Man
Matthew Lambert is believed to have been drunk and high when he struck a motorcycle driven by Gregory Kawohl, killing Kawohl's passenger, Kendall County police say.
A man who was allegedly drunk and high on marijuana when he drove in front of a Plainfield motorcyclist, killing the cyclist's female passenger, has been arrested by the Kendall County Sheriff's Department. Matthew D. Lambert, 28, of Somonauk, faces two counts of aggravated DUI, a class 2 felony, and three counts of reckless homicide, a class 3 felony, the department announced in a release today. The accident occurred shortly before 8:25 p.m. Oct. 10 at the intersection of Walker and Grove roads, near Yorkville. It's alleged that Lambert, who was taking a left-hand turn from Grove onto Walker turned in front of a motorcycle driven by Gregory Kawohl, 45, of Plainfield, the release said.
