Yorkville Businessman Wants to Send Christmas Care Packages to Troops

Real estate investor Jeff Nydegger seeks names of area troops to send packages.

A Yorkville man wants to make sure American troops from the Yorkville area receive a taste of home this Christmas. Yorkville real estate investor Jeff Nydegger, a former combat veteran who served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, is seeking the names of local servicemen and women deployed overseas so he can send them a Christmas care package. Nydegger remembered what it meant to receive care packages during his own time in the U.S. Army and wants to make sure current troops experience the same thing. While there are numerous organizations that ship care packages to the troops, Nydegger said he wants to make sure troops from Kendall County know the people from home are thinking of them. “Supporting our men and women serving our nation overseas…

Even if we cannot get items to the soldiers before Christmas, I know first hand that just getting a package ANYTIME deployed is really appreciated. Items can be dropped off at our Yorkville office.
