Chamber: Biz Boo a Fun Day for Kids, Community

Event highlights local retailers for coming holiday season.

Written by Sherri Farley, Executive Director, Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce More than 300 costumed children and their families visited Yorkville to trick or treat approximately 80 participating businesses during the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce Biz Boo! Business Trick-or-Treat on Oct. 27. In addition to the coveted candy, many businesses offered games, crafts, food or product samples, and free raffle drawings for some outstanding gifts! Participants could also vote for their favorite carved pumpkins at the contest held at St. Joseph Cabinetry. At the Touch-a-Truck event sponsored by Rush-Copley Medical Center, Manus Dental, KJB Realty Inc. and Chiro-One Wellness Centers, children were treated to the opportunity to sit in the …

Biz Boo, Trunk or Treating Set for Saturday

Downtown Halloween event scheduled from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Halloween fun continues Saturday with the annual Biz Boo event. Trick-r-treaters can head downtown to "scare up" some holiday treats from various businesses. Participating businesses will display a "Trick-or-Treat HERE!" poster.
