Marquette L. West, 19, was charged in an incident where he and two other offenders threatened a store clerk with a handgun and baseball bat.
Another suspect has been charged with armed robbery from an incident in 2011, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. On June 2, 2011, three suspects armed with a handgun and baseball bat entered a convenience store located in the 0-100 block of Light Road, Oswego and threatened the clerk, according to the Sheriff's office. They stole cash and Illinois Lottery scratch-off tickets. On March 12, 2013 Marquette L. West, 19, with no address provided, was charged with two counts of armed robbery, a class x felony. West was already in custody at the Kendall County Jail on an unrelated manner and remains there with a bond of 10 percent of $300,000 posted by a judge, said the Sheriff's office. Armed robbery suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money Thursday night.
Yorkville police have released an image of the armed robbery suspect who robbed an Aldi cashier Thursday night. The suspect remains on the loose, Yorkville Deputy Police Chief Larry Hilt said Friday morning. "Our detectives are pouring over the evidence as we speak," he said. According to police about 7p.m. Thursday night a masked man clad in camouflage and wearing what officers initially described as a construction helmet walked into the Bridge Street Aldi and demanded money from the cashier. An armed robber stole an undisclosed amount of cash from Yorkville's Aldi store, 1610 Bridge St., Thursday night, according to Yorkville police. A few minutes after 7 p.m. a masked man clad in camouflage clothing and construction hat demanded money from the lone cashier on duty. The perpetrator told the cashier he was armed, but did not display a weapon, Police Chief Richard Hart said Thursday night. "He walked in and walked right up to the cashier demanding money," Hart said. Hart said there were a number of witnesses to the incident, but said no one was hurt. Details from Monday night’s armed robbery of Papa John’s Pizza were released Wednesday, and according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, employees were forced at gun point into a freezer before the two suspects robbed the business and attempted to flee. The two men charged in the armed robbery, Cory Paytes, 22, of the 0-99 block of Eastfield Road in Montgomery and Travis Gamble, 22, of the 0-99 block of Anna Maria Lane in Oswego, face up to 30 years in prison if convicted, according to the State’s Attorney’s office. Investigation into alleged armed holdup continues after some of alleged victim's allegations are discounted.
Kendall County Sheriff’s police are investigating a potential armed robbery at a Yorkville park, although preliminary efforts refute some of the alleged victim’s allegations, according to a news release. A 35-year-old woman told sheriff’s police that someone robbed her with a weapon at Jaycee Park, 410 W. Center St., Yorkville, sheriff’s police said in a news release Tuesday afternoon. The robbery reportedly happened about 11:30 a.m. Monday, police said. The alleged victim was not harmed during the encounter, sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Craig French said. Four men, one with a handgun, stole an unknown amount of cash from Domino's Pizza Thursday night, Yorkville police said.
Four bandits, one armed with a black handgun, bound a pair of pizzeria employees and robbed the place Thursday night, Yorkville police said. Four suspects, who police believe to be men, entered the business at 1785 Marketview Drive and duct-taped two employees' hands together about 10:15 p.m. Thursday, Yorkville Deputy Police Chief Larry Hilt said. Neither of the employees were injured, and no one else was inside the business. The robbers left with an unknown amount of cash, Hilt said.
