Yorkville Nurse Wins Nursing Excellence Award
Christina Bourque, a nurse at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, received the 2013 Perinatal Nursing Excellence Award.
The following was provided by Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital: Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital’s Christina Bourque, night shift charge nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursery, Yorkville resident, was selected as one of five nurses in the U.S. by the March of Dimes to receive the 2013 Perinatal Nursing Excellence Award. The March of Dimes Nursing Excellence Award Committee received numerous nominations, all of whom displayed outstanding qualities. Bourque was chosen because of her professional accomplishments, personal commitment to the care of mothers and babies and her “can do” spirit to go the extra mile.
