Adopt Me!

Adopt Me: Hoping Someone Says "I've Got You, Babe"

Babe is an adorable 1-year-old domestic shorthair looking for a home.

Welcome to Adopt Me, our weekly tug on your heartstrings. And just look at the adorable cat we have for you this week. Her name is Babe, and she’s a 1-year-old domestic shorthair. Like all the cats at the Kendall County Animal Control shelter in Yorkville, Babe was a stray, but she’s very friendly, and loves any and all attention, according to Assistant Warden Laura Pawson. Babe has been at the shelter since April 12, and she’s looking for a forever home. Black cats in general don’t get adopted as quickly as others, Pawson said, but this cat would be “an all-around good family companion,” she said. For information on adopting Babe, or any of the animals at the Kendall County Animal Control shelter, call 630-553-9256.

Adopt Me!

This Week's Pet: All Aldous Wants To Do Is Play

Aldous, a Rottweiler puppy, is waiting to be adopted at the Kendall County Animal Control shelter.

Kendall County Animal Control officials picked up Aldous, a Rottweiler puppy who is about a year old, roaming around Yorkville, Warden Christine Johnson said. He's been available for adoption since Jan. 6 - and clearly enjoys playful wrestling and tug-of-war. Johnson said Bandit, a 3-year-old treeing walker coondog featured Dec. 29, has been adopted, but Trixie and Lucky were still available Tuesday morning.
