United City of Yorkville Parks and Recreation Dept.

The Parks and Recreation Dept.'s mission is "to create unique recreational and park experiences that enrich lives andMore create a sense of community." The department is part of city government and does not receive a separate tax levy, although the department also is under the direction of a seven-member advisory board. The department is responsible for more than 40 parks, as well as the REC Center, basketball and soccer leagues and other programs.

This office is not open to walk-in customers but staff based here is available by phone.

Foster Premeir is a community recreation center for the Saratoga Homes community. This clubhouse features a fitnessMore center, a lap pool, a kiddie pool and a gazebo. Saratoga homeowners, their families and guests are welcome during hours of operation. Members must have membership card on had upon entering the facility and must sign in and out. Kendall Area Transit (KAT)

Kendall Area Transit (KAT) is the public transportation program of Kendall County.

The KAT program isMore administered by the Voluntary Action Center (VAC), a non-profit transportation agency based in DeKalb County with a local office located in the Kendall County Historic Courthouse building in Yorkville.

The  program provides rides for seniors, disabled individuals and the general public to medical appointments, jobs, shopping locations, social and recreational events and many other purposes. Included in the KAT services is the option of curb-to-curb or door-to-door pick up/drop off.

Yorkville Junior Women’s Club

The Yorkville Junior Women's Club is a not-for-profit organization of area women who support the city of YorkvilleMore and surrounding communities. The club has been in existence since 1991.

The club is actively involved in support of health, education and safety of the overall community. A multitude of organizations including, Mutual Ground, the Kendall County Food Pantry, Golden Diners and Yorkville Parks and Recreation have benefited from the involvement of the Yorkville Junior Women’s Club.

Membership is open to all area women over 18 who are interested in volunteering time and talent to better the community. Yearly dues are $20. Anyone joining is invited to attend any of the monthly meetings or activities. Dues are collected at the September meeting or upon becoming a member. 

Meetings are held the second Monday of each month from September through May, at 7:00 pm in the lower level meeting room of the former, Castle Insurance Building (corner of Route 34 and Center Parkway) .
