Matthew W. Green, 32, Enjoyed Golfing and Fishing

Funeral services for Matthew Green were held on May 4.

Matthew W. Green, age 32 of Yorkville, IL passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his home. He was born in October, 1980 in Houston, TX the son of Alan W. and Colleen D. (Gross) Green. Matthew started high school in Herscher, IL, but finished at the American School of Dubai in the UAE.  He was a 2011 graduate of ITT Tech with a degree in Criminal Justice.  Matthew was employed for the last 10 years by Jewel/Osco, most recently at the Oswego location. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, with his family and friends, also reading and working on his computer. James T. Smith, age 54 of Plano, IL passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born on August 4, 1958 in Sandwich, IL the son of Harley E. and Millie Ann (Rochkes) Smith. Jim was united in marriage on September 14, 1985 in Plano, IL to Miss Staci Lucas and they spent the next 27 happy years together. Mr. Smith was a member of First Lutheran Church in Plano, IL. Jim was employed for 24 years as a Machine Repairman at Caterpillar, Inc. in Montgomery, IL. He was a past president of the Plano Youth Athletic Association and was very involved in the girls softball program, volunteering as a coach and helper for many years. Ruth Eleanor Farren, age 87 of Yorkville, IL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at her home. She was born on November 27, 1925 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Axel and Eloise (Alger) Tebell. Ruth was united in marriage on February 22, 1947 to Mr. Emil “Bud” Farren and they spent the next 25 happy years together until his passing on April 17, 1972. Mrs. Farren was a Pharmacist Assistant for 35 years beginning at Webster Drug Store which became Thomas Pharmacy and later Holland Drug Store in Yorkville, IL. She was a longtime member of the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ in Yorkville, IL. Kathleen Palma Barbara Mazurek, age 70, of Bristol, IL, formerly a 14 year resident of Naperville, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her home.  She was born on July 13, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Marin and Stephanie (Ostojich) Curach.  Kathleen was united in marriage on November 9, 1963 in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Henry Mazurek, Sr., and they spent the next 49 happy years of their lives together.  Mrs. Mazurek was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.  The time that Kathleen spent with her grandchildren was the most special part of her life. LeRoy John Dobson, age 82 of Oswego, IL died Saturday May 4, 2013 at Seasons In Patient in Naperville, IL.  He was born November 12, 1930 in Monroe Point, WI, the son of the late Willard Lee and Rachel Ann nee Jackson Dobson.   LeRoy was a member of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL and was a chauffer with Naperville Chauffering until his retirement in 2001.  He is survived by his wife Eloise A. James Francis Noseworthy Sr., 79, Served in the Air Force During Korean War

James Noseworthy was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #4524.

James Francis Noseworthy Sr., age 79 of Sandwich, IL passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb, IL. He was born on February 24, 1934 in Boston, MA the son of the late James F. and Annie (Mooras) Noseworthy. Jim served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #4524 in Revere, MA. Jim was formerly employed as a Truck Driver and was a longtime member of the Teamsters Union. Linda Lou Randour Mandle, 63, Former YHS Teacher, Passed After Battle with Cancer

A visitation will be held for Lou Mandle on Tuesday, April 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at 9 a.m.

Lou Mandle passed away on April 27 after a short, yet courageous, battle with cancer. Lou was born in Pekin, IL on August 11, 1949 to Victor and Mary Randour. She is survived by her loving husband, Kenn Mandle; her sister, Connie Hinton; her two sons, Shaye (Lynn) and Darien (Angie); and her four grandchildren, Piper (14), Zane (12), Ava (7) and Grady (5). Lou dedicated her passion for learning to the development of future leaders as a teacher at Yorkville High School for 17 years, having retired in 2009. She adored her family and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, taking them on shopping trips and showering them with love. Elsie Hutton was a loving wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt, niece and cousin who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Elsie W. Hutton, age 77 of Sandwich, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. She was born on February 12, 1936 in Sublette, IL the daughter of Wilbur and Doris Frederickson. Elsie was united in marriage on September 16, 1972 to Mr. Jerry W. Hutton and they spent the next 36 happy years together until his passing on November 10, 2008. Jerry and Elsie were the former owners of the Waterman Bowling Alley in Waterman, IL. She enjoyed genealogy and letter writing to her family and friends. Elsie also spent time making ceramics items. Donald Chapin, a long-time resident and community member of Eau Claire, Wisconsin died April 19, 2013 in Sandwich, Illinois where he had lived the past few years with his wife of 58 years, Joanne. Don moved to Eau Claire in 1974 for the opportunity to work at Pope &Talbot paper mill where he was Chief Engineer until his retirement in 1996. During his time in Eau Claire, Don and Joanne raised eleven children. Don was born in Bristol, Connecticut in 1931 and upon graduation from high school enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he represented our country during the Korean conflict and where he met his wife Joanne who was also a member of the Air Force.   After his retirement, Don and his wife Joanne lived in Corvallis, Oregon, Gulf Shores and…
