James T. Smith, age 54 of Plano, IL passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born on August 4, 1958 in Sandwich, IL the son of Harley E. and Millie Ann (Rochkes) Smith. Jim was united in marriage on September 14, 1985 in Plano, IL to Miss Staci Lucas and they spent the next 27 happy years together. Mr. Smith was a member of First Lutheran Church in Plano, IL. Jim was employed for 24 years as a Machine Repairman at Caterpillar, Inc. in Montgomery, IL. He was a past president of the Plano Youth Athletic Association and was very involved in the girls softball program, volunteering as a coach and helper for many years. Ruth Eleanor Farren, age 87 of Yorkville, IL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at her home. She was born on November 27, 1925 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Axel and Eloise (Alger) Tebell. Ruth was united in marriage on February 22, 1947 to Mr. Emil “Bud” Farren and they spent the next 25 happy years together until his passing on April 17, 1972. Mrs. Farren was a Pharmacist Assistant for 35 years beginning at Webster Drug Store which became Thomas Pharmacy and later Holland Drug Store in Yorkville, IL. She was a longtime member of the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ in Yorkville, IL. Kathleen Palma Barbara Mazurek, age 70, of Bristol, IL, formerly a 14 year resident of Naperville, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her home. She was born on July 13, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Marin and Stephanie (Ostojich) Curach. Kathleen was united in marriage on November 9, 1963 in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Henry Mazurek, Sr., and they spent the next 49 happy years of their lives together. James Francis Noseworthy Sr., age 79 of Sandwich, IL passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb, IL. He was born on February 24, 1934 in Boston, MA the son of the late James F. and Annie (Mooras) Noseworthy. Jim served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #4524 in Revere, MA. Jim was formerly employed as a Truck Driver and was a longtime member of the Teamsters Union. Lou Mandle passed away on April 27 after a short, yet courageous, battle with cancer. Lou was born in Pekin, IL on August 11, 1949 to Victor and Mary Randour. She is survived by her loving husband, Kenn Mandle; her sister, Connie Hinton; her two sons, Shaye (Lynn) and Darien (Angie); and her four grandchildren, Piper (14), Zane (12), Ava (7) and Grady (5). Lou dedicated her passion for learning to the development of future leaders as a teacher at Yorkville High School for 17 years, having retired in 2009. She adored her family and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, taking them on shopping trips and showering them with love. Elsie was united in marriage on September 16, 1972 to Mr. Jerry W. Hutton and they spent the next 36 happy years together until his passing on November 10, 2008. Donald Chapin, a long-time resident and community member of Eau Claire, Wisconsin died April 19, 2013 in Sandwich, Illinois where he had lived the past few years with his wife of 58 years, Joanne. Don moved to Eau Claire in 1974 for the opportunity to work at Pope &Talbot paper mill where he was Chief Engineer until his retirement in 1996. During his time in Eau Claire, Don and Joanne raised eleven children. Don was born in Bristol, Connecticut in 1931 and upon graduation from high school enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he represented our country during the Korean conflict and where he met his wife Joanne who was also a member of the Air Force. Dr. Henry A. Januszka, age 81, of Newport Beach, CA passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion in Sandwich, IL after an extended illness. He was born on June 11, 1931 in Jackson, MI the son of Stanley and Angela (Kielar) Januszka. Dr. Januszka was a 1953 graduate of the University of Michigan's College of Pharmacy and a 1958 graduate of its Medical School. He spent 46 years practicing medicine and many of those years in his own family practice in Long Beach, CA. Dr. Januszka was an avid fan of the University of Michigan Football Team.
