Congrats, Scott! This isn't a show we'd normally watch, but your Dad told us about it so we tunedRead More it. Awesome art and we really enjoyed it. You played the game perfectly, too. Great strategies, but it was your art that really put you in first. Best of luck in your career.

He has the personality of a poop log. I don't care how good of an artist he his, I'll never go toRead More get work done by him. Talent matters but personality goes a long way. They should have given him dbag of the show award too.

Trying to distract from the fact that they have wild captured whales and dolphins in their poolsRead More that they kidnapped to exploit for money!

Learning how to take care of this whale species now will save it from extinction decades from nowRead More when their numbers are diminished through reckless hunting.

There are good reasons for certain institutions to capture wild creatures. WS mentioned one. ThatRead More said, there is the problem with over stocking of captured animals and not understanding them. Orcas are the primary example. Most orcas are not being captured for study but for profit. And when you have an 8 - 10 ton animal in an enclosed space your may have trouble - two trainers killed by the same orca. There are no recorded instances of orcas attacking humans in the wild - get one in a tank and even if the death is accidental you are still playing with fire - orcas are not dogs. They are highly intelligent creatures - actually the largest member of the dolphin family although their size resulted in their being termed "whale" many years ago and it has stuck. So I agree with both Gina and William on that subject. I am a little surprised that the Shedd is now expanding into a dog show as well. if that helps encourage people to adopt rescued dogs, great.

(20 ILCS 1605/2) (from Ch. 120, par. 1152) Sec. 2. This Act is enacted to implement andRead More establish within the State a lottery to be conducted by the State through the Department. The entire net proceeds of the Lottery are to be used for the support of the State's Common School Fund, except as provided in subsection (o) of Section 9.1 and Sections 21.2, 21.5, 21.6, 21.7, and 21.8. The annual salary of the Director is $142,000.

Ty, the even bigger political game was that the lottery was sold to ADD TO school funding. Instead,Read More what they did was to use the proceeds to REPLACE the existing funding. The net effect is the schools got about the same amount of money but the state got a huge windfall of new money (the old source of money that used to go to the schools) that they then used on port barrel spending to buy themselves more years at the public trough.

I have to give the winner credit for accomplishing her goals although she was WAY too thin andRead More looked sick. Too much weight loss is not good for a person's body in such a short period of time and it's difficult to maintain that weight and creates a yo-yo.
