Fall Amnesty Day Happening This Week

Find out what is happening around town this week.

Advanced Disposal will be holding a special amnesty day pickup the week of October 21-25 on your normal garbage day.

Large items, including: refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, ranges, stoves, trash compactors, washers, dryers, dishwasher, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, microwaves, water softeners, televisions, pianos, organs, tables, chairs, mattresses, box springs, bookcases, sofas, other pieces of similar furniture, and carpet rolls cut into 4-foot length sections weighing less than 50-pounds each, will be picked up that week for free.

White good items containing PCBs, and construction debris is specifically excluded from this list and will not be picked up.

For amnesty day, the normal rules for toters and extra garbage bags remain in place next week. Advanced Disposal will pickup your garbage toter and one extra bag/can of trash, and each additional bag/can of trash beyond that will require a $1 sticker to be affixed to the bag.

Stickers may be purchased at City Hall during normal business hours, Jewel, or Ace Hardware.
