Bake Sale This Week to Help 7-Year-Old Oswego Resident Kyla Hartigan

The bake sale, a project by Kyla's friend Cailee Zukauskas, will raise money for Kyla's family to install an elevator in their home so Kyla can get around.

There's nothing quite like the taste of home baked cookies.

But want a way to make the treat even a little sweeter? Know that with every cookie and baked good you buy this weekend at the Karing for Kyla bake sale you're helping a little Oswego girl with cerebal palsy.

7-year-old Kyla Hartigan has cerebal palsy that confines her to a wheelchair, although as anyone can tell you it doesn't confine her spirit.

Kyla's friend, Cailee Zukauskas, is hosting a bake sale with all proceeds going towards helping install an elevator in her friend's home so that Kyla has more access to the first floor.

"I am doing a service project for church and have decided to have a bake sale in honor of my good friend," writes Cailee.  "All proceeds earned will be donated to the Karing for Kyla Organization in hope that installation can begin soon."

The bake sale will take place in the Churchill Club subdivision at  305 Bluegrass Parkway on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Time to go eat some cookies!
