The east leg of the Van Emmon St. intersection will be closed to all traffic beginning July 31 to allow for installation of water main and storm sewer, weather permitting. The closure is expected to last 4 to 5 days. A detour will be posted.  Motorists can use Fox St. to access Van Emmon St. around the work area.

Night work will begin the week of July 29 and will involve installation of water main across IL 47 at various locations south of the river.

Storm sewer-related work will also be done at night around the same time. It is expected this work will last for 3 to 4 weeks during this phase of the project.

Nighttime work hours will be 8pm to 6 am. Motorists can expect delays during this work. Work is being performed at night to cause the least disruption to traffic as possible.
