Photos: A Weekend at Riverfront Park

This weekend featured a teen band, Hometown Throwdown kayak event, and riverside clean-up.

was bustling with activity this weekend - from volunteers clearing up, to teen band Triple Crow performing Friday and a kayak Hometown Throwdown event Saturday.

Nicor Gas employees worked on the site of a future bike path Saturday morning through a company-sponsored volunteer day. About 120 employees were expected to participate in the project honoring former employee Darlene McCue, who died after her bicycle was struck by a car in 2009. Many organizers for Push for the Path are raising money to cover the city's cost of building a bike path along Kennedy Road in her memory.
