YHS Athletic Leadership Team Attends Statewide Conference

Several YHS students attended the IHSA Athletic Leadership Conference at the Peoria Civic Center on September 30th. The Conference focused on leadership, sportsmanship and communication among student athletes. 

The agenda included a presentation delivered by Harvey Alston, motivational speaker and author of Be the Best. Alston encouraged students to reach for higher goals and be their best selves.

Athletic Secretary, Eva Schoenfelder, also attended the conference and participated in a sportsmanship roundtable with Alston and group brainstorming sessions with other adults throughout the state who share similar responsibilities.
