Spirit Cheerleading Competes at Jam Live

Kayla Abney earns Celebrity Standout award at Schaumburg event.

Spirit Cheerleading All Stars kicked off its season last month with a win at a competition held at Northern Illinois University.

Team Passion, with girls ranging from 7 to 11-years-old, placed first in the JamFest Competition last month. Team Passion, with cheerleaders raning from 7 to 14-years-old, placed sixth in their competition.

The squad includes cheerleaders from Yorkville, Montgomery, Morris, Plano, Sandwich, Somonauk, and Coal City.

Spirit Cheerleading All Star Teams competed in the Jam Live Cheerleading Competition Nov. 17, 2012 at the Schaumburg Convention Center.

During that competition Team Passion placed second and Team Inspire placed fifth in their respective divisions.

Special awards were presented at the end of the competition, Spirit Cheerleading’s own Kayla Abney of Morris was awarded the Celebrity Standout award in the competition.
