The Competitive team placed first in their division with a score of 76.08, edging out second place Troy Middle School and third place Minooka. This is the second competition for the Competitive team and they are continuing to improve and add difficulty to their routine.

The Sideline team placed 3rd in their division with a score of 74.15., being beat only by Kelvin Grove and Eisenhower.  This was the first competition for the Sideline team and they have worked very hard throughout their season to be ready.

The Yorkville High School JV cheer team had a solid performance and for the second time this season, came home with a first place trophy out of seven teams in the Small JV division, with a score of 76.9.  The JV team also won the award for “Best Jumps” out of all junior high, freshmen, and JV teams.  The YHS Varsity team competed in the afternoon against some tough competition and brought home a 4th place trophy in the medium varsity division with a score of 76.23.

The Varsity team looks to clean up their routine and add difficulty in preparation for the upcoming conference competition and IHSA Sectionals in January.  All four teams will travel together again on Sunday, January 8, 2012 to Oak Forest High School to compete in the Bengals Cheerleading Invitational.
