Yorkville High School varsity cheerleaders had an excellent performance that their conference competition on Sunday, while the junior varsity team performed well as an exhibition. The all-conference team and honorable mention members were announced. Three all-conference team members and two honorable mentions were named for each of the 12 teams in the conference.
The varsity team travels next to Mahomet-Seymour on Saturday, Jan. 28 to compete in IHSA Sectionals. They will go up against 18 teams, of which the top 5 advance the following weekend to IHSA State Finals at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington.
