35 Yorkville Runners Compete in Chicago Marathon
35 people from Yorkville ran in the Chicago Marathon Sunday. Yorkville's best finisher was 4,051 overall.
Just over 40,200 runners from every U.S. state and more than 120 countries participated in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Sunday.
Kenyan runner Dennis Kimetto had the overall top finish in the marathon at 2:03:45, breaking the record set by last year's by Ethiopia's Tsegaye Kebede at 2:04:38.
According to the unofficial results, there were 35 registered runners from Yorkville. Yorkville's top finisher, Chris Okapal, took 4,051th place overall with a time of 3:29:13.
