Yorkville Girls Cross Country Team Win Second Straight State Title

Boys team places third.

It was quite a day Saturday for Yorkville High School's cross country teams. 

The girls team placed first in Class 2A, while the boys ran to a thrid-place finish. According to the IHSA website, freshman Skyler Bollinger led the way, finishing fifth with a time of 17:11. Summer Peirson, finished just three spots behind Bollinger with a time of 17:31. 

According to the teams' website, the team returned to Yorkville Saturday night and led a parade through town.
