YHS Grapplers Pin Down Opposition at Regional Tournament
Senior Bobby Schillinger wins 182-pound division.
The Yorkville High School wrestling team placed first in the IHSA Pontiac Regional Tournament.
Yorkville racked up 172.5 team points to earn top spots. LaSalle finished second with 165.5 team points.
Individual tournament results included Bobby Schillinger placing first in the 182 division. Additionally Tyler Burlington placed second in the 106 pound division, Dan Cikauskas placed second in the 113 pound division, Brandon Brown placed fourth in the 120 pound division, Brody Sharp placed fourth in the 126 pound division, Gabe Polhill placed fourth in the 132 pound division, Brennan Sharp placed second in the 138 pound division, Bryce Shewan placed fourth in the 145 pound division, Gunnar Hjorth placed second in 152 pound division, Tyler Wilkinson placed second in 160 pound division, Derek Cajina placed third in the 170 pound division and Joe Katula placed second in the 285 pound division.

This weekend's victory comes after the grapplers placed first in the NIB-XII Conference Championship last month.
The win qualifies Yorkville to compete in the IHSA team state competition. Yorkville will wrestle Scyamore in "AA" sectionals Tuesday, Feb. 9 at Rochelle High School.
