Yorkville Schools Cancelled Tuesday, Garbage Services Resume

Yorkville 115 has announced that schools will remain closed on Tuesday, Jan. 7 due to the extreme weather conditions.
All classes, activities and athletics are cancelled for Tuesday.
District administration offices will be open though between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Parkview Christian Academy and Cross Lutheran School will also be closed, according to Emergency Closing Center.
Yorkville's garbage service, Advanced Disposal, has said pick-up will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Due to the no-pick-up on Monday, all pick-ups will be delayed by one day. So, if you normally had garbage service on Monday, it will be picked up on Tuesday.
Other delays/closures in the area:
- Yorkville Public Library is CLOSED but will be open as a warming center.
- Kendall Area Transit will open at 12 p.m. on Tuesday. Routes will run as normal, although there may be weather-related delays.
- The Fox Valley YMCA will open at 1 p.m. Tuesday
