Organizers hope the third annual event will raise $15,000 for classroom technology and educational extras.

About 230 students - from preschool to eighth grade - circled Cross Lutheran School's parking lot Friday morning as part of an annual school fundraiser.

The school's PTO organized the third annual event to provide money for items and projects school teachers requested at the beginning of the academic year. Fifth-grader Emily Diedrich designed the t-shirts all participating students received.

If the event reaches its major goal of $15,000, school principal Sue Lopez and teachers will sit in a dunk tank. Other prizes, both for individual students and the entire school, include special dress days, a schoolwide science experiment and an assembly.
