Four candidates, including three incumbents, filed for the 2013 Yorkville Consolidated Unit School District Board of Education election.
The four candidates are:
- Incumbent Dr. Robert Brenart
- Laura Allen
- Incumbent and current board president Dave Dockstader
- Incumbent Dean Fisher
Four seats on the seven-member board of education are up in the April 9 election. Candidates elected will serve four-year terms expiring in April, 2017.

Eligibility to serve as a school board member includes being a registered voter and a resident of the school district for at least one year prior to the election.
School board candidates are required to gather at least 50 signatures to be placed on the ballot.
