Some of the tools the school district will use include Facebook and the district blog” The Facebook page will provide information about various school activities and events and the blog, “Yorkville Schools: Great by Choice,” allows the community to remain informed about district academic progress and special events. The blog will contain up-to-date information on students and teachers.
Monthly e-newsletters are also available on the district website. These newsletters contain information relating to district curriculum, finance and building initiatives.

“One of our key strategies is to improve communication and collaboration to move the district and its schools to a higher level of effectiveness and efficiency,” Superintendent Scott Wakeley said in a press release. “The use of social media and other electronic communication helps us keep the public informed of district and school efforts in a more timely and efficient manner.”
