Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Retiring this Year

Dr. Frank Bogner, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, will retire on June 2013 after serving in Yorkville 115 for 10 years.

The following release was provided by Yorkville 115:

During a closed session on May 13, the Yorkville School Board approved the retirement of Dr. Frank Bogner, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. Dr. Bogner will retire effective June 30, 2013. 

Bogner announced earlier this year that he would retire in June of 2014. His decision to retire sooner is a personal one. “This is best for me and my family,” said Bogner. “I am grateful for a long career in education and excited to move on to new endeavors.”

Bogner has dedicated his 34-year career in education to Illinois schools. He joined Yorkville School District 115 in 2003 as Yorkville High School Principal. As Yorkville Schools saw a large increase in student enrollment in 2006, Bogner began the Human Resources Department with his assistant, Mrs. Debbie Cool. He moved permanently into the position of Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in July of 2007. 

Prior to his work for Yorkville schools, Bogner worked for Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley and Princeville school districts as high school principal. He earned his Doctorate in Education from the University of Illinois in May of 2006.

The district will commence searching for Bogner’s replacement immediately. He will continue to serve in his current position until the end of June. 

Superintendent Wakeley spoke highly of Bogner’s 10-year career in Yorkville. “I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Frank over the past three years and I truly believe Yorkville is a better place because of the contributions he has made.”
