Poll: Predicting Kendall County's Voter Turnout

About 75 percent of Kendall County's registered voters cast ballots in the 2008 primary election. What percentage will vote in this one?

About three-quarters of Kendall County's registered voters cast ballots in the last presidential primary in February 2008. Far fewer - about 16.5 percent - cast ballots in last year's local election.

In a matter of hours, we'll have a good idea if the presidential primary again captured voters' attentions. Until then, why don't we take a guess at how enthusiastic or apathetic Kendall County's 63,544 registered voters will be?

Kendall County saw an increase in early voters over both last year and 2008, according to Chief Deputy Clerk Renetta Mickelson. A total of 1,023 people cast ballots early at two sites in the county – one in Oswego, and one in Yorkville. That’s up from 778 last year, and 794 in the last presidential primary election in 2008.
