About three-quarters of Kendall County's registered voters cast ballots in the last presidential primary in February 2008. Far fewer - about 16.5 percent - cast ballots in last year's local election.

Kendall County saw an increase in early voters over both last year and 2008, according to Chief Deputy Clerk Renetta Mickelson. A total of 1,023 people cast ballots early at two sites in the county – one in Oswego, and one in Yorkville. That’s up from 778 last year, and 794 in the last presidential primary election in 2008.
