The Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection District raised money for the American Cancer Society.

A special thanks to Battalion Chief Michael Kalina, of the , for providing this photograph and news release:

The traditional uniform shirts for firefighters of the Bristol Kendall Fire Department were back on hangers in exchange for pink t-shirts in support of women battling breast cancer.

On Mondays, in the month of October all on duty firefighters as well as some of the Fire District Trustees wore bright pink t-shirts with the Bristol Kendall Fire Department Maltese Cross with the words “Cancer Awareness” underneath. The t-shirt was made available for purchase by family members leading to a profit which was intended to be donated to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.
