I am writing this column a little late this week due to the Fourth of July holiday. There was a city Economic Development Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday. The top agenda items were discussion on digital billboard signs and discussion on development fee research.

The Yorkville Zoning Board of Appeals meeting has been canceled.

Top agenda items: Comprehensive staffing study, weather warning sirens.
