Applicable experience qualifying you for the position: Involved in education in both private and public systems for over 18 years

What is the primary reason you are running for this office? To continue to help provide a safe nurturing educational environment where each student can reach their full potential to be a productive  member of society.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?  Enhancement of curriculum opportunities in both traditional and cyber settings.

What sets you apart from the other candidates? Experience in the Academic world as well as business acumen.

How long have you lived in District 115? 34 years

What's your favorite thing about Yorkv.ille schools? The desire of the community, students, administrators , teachers, as well as most all of those involved in education to exceed the expectations of a school system with our resources

What is the biggest issue facing Yorkville schools? As with many schools in Illinois capital resources are going to be more difficult to fund, where will the money come from? But even more important to grow the culture of education to include and welcome new forms of learning, to develop curriculum which teaches responsible use of technology in order to expand learning opportunities on a global scale.

As a board member, how do you plan to promote academic achievement while remaining fiscally responsible? It’s all about value, What value do you assign a young person’s success, how much is that form of  training worth to a community? What will it do for business growth, and the growth of a diversified community with all types of resources? I believe the Yorkville boards of education I have served on have always tried to maximize the value of each tax dollar accrued and have been good stewards , whether it be for capital expansion or curriculum enhancement.

What will you bring to the school board that is currently lacking? Since I currently serve on the Yorkville School Board I believe my record speaks for itself.
