What is the primary reason you are running for this office? Deciding to run for office a second term took months of weighing the pro's and con's. I did not make this decision lightly.  While making my decision I decided to consider the question of "what is the reason?".  The answer was simple,  I enjoy the job and the challenges that come along with it. I feel that I have a good understanding and knowledge of the current issues and have a track record of making good decisions in the best interest of the residents of  Yorkville.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?  The budget is the most important priority.  The aspect of the decisions that are made affect the residents and it is important to be mindful of their needs as well as the financial obligations that go along with them.

What sets you apart from the other candidates? What sets me apart is that even though I have may have opposing views, I am not afraid to say what I believe in and argue my point with statesmanlike conduct.  In other words, I work well with others.

How long have you lived in Yorkville (if applicable, if not how long have you been involved with Yorkville)? I've lived in Yorkville for 12 years.

What's your favorite thing about Yorkville? My favorite thing about Yorkville is the feeling of community.  For example, the community spirit that was shown when Push for the Path was launched, and more recently the many community groups that have come forward to continue  the 4th of July celebration.  Although I didn't grow up here, my children have and we are proud to call Yorkville our hometown.  We have met wonderful people here and I love that I have had an opportunity to participate in part of the shaping of it.

What is the biggest problem in Yorkville? The roads, for sure, are the biggest problem.  I am please however that the route 47 widening has begun, and that Game Farm Rd is slated, and that the city and the administration has brought this problem to the for-front and is currently debating the best way to proceed.
