What is the primary reason you are running for this office? I am running for office to bring some new, creative ideas to the city council to improve the city of Yorkville. As a resident in Bristol Bay, I see firsthand the growth potential Yorkville has. As Yorkville is growing, the council needs to plan conservatively and stand up to developers to prevent future residents from paying the price.  I want to represent the young couples and families looking for their American dream here.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected? I plan on opening the communication between the city council and my constituents. It’s important for the residents of Yorkville not only to be heard but also be well informed. My intention is to always be available to address questions or concerns that might come up.

What sets you apart from the other candidates? My ability to be humbly honest is what makes me unique. If elected, it will be my job to make the tough decisions and effectively explain why that decision is the right one. You can assure that every decision I make will be thoroughly studied to ensure it is the right one for the future of Yorkville.

How long have you lived in Yorkville (if applicable, if not how long have you been involved with Yorkville)? I have lived in Yorkville for just over six years.

What's your favorite thing about Yorkville? I love the small community atmosphere and the potential for what the downtown can develop into.

What is the biggest problem in Yorkville? In my opinion, the lack of communication between the government and its residents is the biggest problem in Yorkville. I find the majority of Yorkville residents, myself included, are upset about how much is paid in taxes. However, we are not clear on how the taxes are distributed. Educating Yorkville residents on tax distribution will help us focus on more constructive ways of potentially decreasing the cost.
