What is the primary reason you are running for this office? My primary reason for running for this office is to promote greater overall fiscal responsibility through professional level planning for City growth and infrastructure needs.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected? If elected, my highest priority will be to limit spending to basic needs, not wants, and to eliminate future unnecessary debt based spending.

What sets you apart from the other candidates? I believe that my extensive experience with all levels of government and working with community leaders in development projects sets me apart from the other candidate.  I will also be free of any perceived conflict of interest in voting pertaining to City development projects and will not act to overturn voter wishes expressed by referendum.

How long have you lived in Yorkville (if applicable, if not how long have you been involved with Yorkville)? I have been a Yorkville resident since January, 2007.

What's your favorite thing about Yorkville? My favorite thing about Yorkville is its location at the edge of both urban and rural areas.

What is the biggest problem in Yorkville? Yorkville’s biggest problem is its current size and large number of vacant lots and homes.  It is no longer a rural area, but it is far from being a highly developed urban area.  A large number of residents would prefer to see the City return to its small rural roots while a growing population would prefer to see the City expand.  The present conflict regarding the future direction of the City will most likely not be resolved until the vacant properties are fully developed and occupied.
