Yorkville Man Dies in Drunk Driving Crash
Jason B. Callahan, 38, was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed early Sunday morning.
A Yorkville man has died in a car accident that occurred in Oswego early Sunday morning, said Oswego police.
Jason B. Callahan, 38, of Yorkville, was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-car crash that occurred at approximately 12:02 a.m. in the 5000 block of Minkler Road, Oswego.
The vehicle, driven by Kristen M. Leonard, 31, of Highlake Road, West Chicago, struck a guard rail on the shoulder of the roadway. Callahan was the owner and passenger of the vehicle.
Leonard was transported to Rush-Copley Hospital for medical treatment and will be transported to Kendall County Jail upon release.
She has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence - death, aggravated driving under the influence - great bodily harm, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The incident is currently under investigation by Oswego police.
