Yorkville Business Broken Into, Currency Stolen: Police

James E. Rogers, 63, of the 1000 block of North Bridge Street, Yorkville, was arrested at 4:49 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Bridge Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said Yorkville Police. He was charged after backing into another vehicle.

Jamie L. Reddick, 27, of the 1700 block of Fairside Drive, Sandwich, was cited with retail theft after she unlawfully removed $236.99 worth of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Erica Lane around 3 p.m., said Yorkville police.

Burglary

Yorkville police are investigating a burglary to a business that occurred at 6 a.m. in the 100 block of Beaver Street. A window was broken at the business and one person entered and stole U.S. currency of $200. The damaged window is valued at $150. Video surveillance is currently being reviewed.
