Woman Charged with DUI in Kendall Crash

Joliet woman injured in crash; 21-year-old Minooka resident charged with DUI.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in a head-on crash that hospitalized two people Wednesday in Kendall County.

Lindsey N. Gelin, 21, of the 300 block of Grande Drive, Minooka, is charged with DUI and failure to yield the right of way in connection with the crash, which occurred around 4:10 p.m. Wednesday at Grove and Walker Roads in Na-Au-Say Township.

Police said Gelin was driving east on Walker road when her vehicle slammed into a vehicle that was heading south on Grove Road.

Gelin was airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for multiple injuries, including fractured bones, police said.

A 41-year-old woman in the other vehicle was taken to Rush-Copley Hospital in Aurora, also for fractured bones, according to a release from Kendall County Sheriff's police.

Neither woman suffered life-threatening injuries, according to police.
