Two Young Men Stabbed in Plano Over Weekend

The incident happened during a party that Plano Police Chief Steven Eaves said "got out of control."

Two young men were reported stabbed over the weekend in Plano during a party and one man was charged with aggravated battery, according to the Plano Police Department.

 

Plano police went to an address in the 900 block of Bluegrass Street at 3:58 a.m. o Sunday, July 21, in reference to a fight involving multiple subjects.

“This was a wild party that got out of control,” said Plano Police Chief Steve Eaves. “A fight broke out and two people got stabbed.”

Two males, 19 and 20, were transported to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. Eaves said one of the injured was sent to the hospital with minor injuries and the other was reported with serious injuries. As of Monday morning his condition has been upgraded to stable.

 

Nicholas Torres, 20,of the 700 block of South River Street, Montgomery, was charged with aggravated battery in connection with the stabbing on July 22.

 

“I want the homeowners to know what happened in their area,” said Eaves.  “I want them to be able to avoid these type of situations.”

 

Eaves added that, “Alcohol and young people is a bad mix,” and in this incident it led to a fight and a stabbing.
