Yorkville residents should prepare for a plethora of ghosts, goblins, zombies, princesses, angry birds and Marvel heroes as Halloween descends on Kendall County.
Trick-or-treating will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, according to a press release from the city.

- Any costume weaponry should be soft and flexible, and easily distinguishable from the real thing
- Avoid tick-or-treating alone
- Use reflective tape on costumes and bags
- Use a flashlight after the sun goes down
- Use sidewalks whenever possible
- Eat only factory-wrapped treats
- Avoid eating homemade treats prepared by strangers
