Somonauk Man Gets 6 Years for Dealing Cocaine

The 59-year-old delivered drugs to the Kendall County Cooperative Police Assistance Team, according to State's Attorney Eric Weis.

Kendall County State's Attorney Eric Weis provided the following news release:

Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis announced that Joe R. Ordonez, 59, of the 100 block of Market Street, Somonauk, was sentenced to 6 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable John Barsanti for Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance. 

According to Weis, Ordonez was arrested and charged after a delivery of cocaine to members of the Kendall County Cooperative Police Assistance Team (C.P.A.T.) back in October of 2011.  Ordonez has been in custody while this case has been pending.  According to Weis, Ordonez has an extensive criminal history, including time in the Illinois Department of Corrections.  Ordonez will be required to serve 2 years of mandatory supervised release after he serves his six year prison sentence.
