“It is believed that this is nothing more than a tragic accident,” the news release states. “However, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a full investigation into the incident.”

Editor's note: Sheriff's police initially released incorrect information about the location of the incident and the girl's residence. The article was updated with the correct information about 2:40 p.m. Saturday.
