Sheriff's Police Investigating Accidental Drowning
A 16-month-old girl apparently fell into a backyard pool in Boulder Hill on Friday, police said.
A 16-month-old girl died early this morning after falling into a swimming pool late Friday morning, Kendall County Sheriff’s police said in a news release.
The incident happened about 11:40 a.m. Friday on Aldon Road in Boulder Hill, Sheriff’s Deputy Craig French said. Oswego paramedics took the girl to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, and from there she was flown to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood.
The girl had been visiting the home, French said.

“It is believed that this is nothing more than a tragic accident,” the news release states. “However, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a full investigation into the incident.”
